Your club needs you!

The Club is run by an extremely small team of volunteers and presently lacks someone to manage our events calendar. If you are interested in taking on the role, or even in simply arranging a one-off event, please, get in touch. We also require content for our magazine, so if you have something which our members may find interesting, we need to hear about it, whether you have attended an event in your Metropolitan, tackled some restoration work, undertaken some modification to make it more usable in modern traffic, used your car for a wedding or school prom or maybe just wish to recommend the services of a repairer, garage, parts supplier or insurance company, please tell us about it by sending an email to ianmetclub@hotmail.com

We're hoping to stage a return to the NEC Classic Motor Show this November!

Our application has been submitted and we will know by around late May whether we have been granted a stand. If so, we will need volunteers to help run things, and Metropolitan owners who would like to display their car for the duration of the event. We won't know how many cars we can accommodate until our stand has been allocated so we will provide more details as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you think you may be available for some or all of the event, please let us know.

The show runs from Friday 7th November until Sunday 9th November with setting-up on Thursday 6th November. If our application is approved, we will need volunteers for the four day duration. 

If you would like your car to be considered for a place on the stand, please let us know. Please remember it will need to be on site at the NEC in Birmingham by around mid-day on Thursday 6th November and not removed until the show closes to the public on the evening of Sunday 9th November.

Should our application be successful, we will be allocated a number of free tickets and carpark passes for those helping or displaying their car on our stand, together with a discount code for reduced ticket prices for the rest of you. Please keep watching for updates.
